A Wildflower in the Columbia Gorge

Photography by Justin Holman. Justin Holman, a structural engineer by trade, can regularly be found on a trail exploring the great Pacific Northwest. He is drawn to a variety of scenes ranging from trickling brooks, cascading waterfalls, and comically defiant wildflowers (as shown above), to bridges awe inspiring in their design.  His appreciation of the beauty and design around him is made even more poignant when you learn he is legally blind; this gives him a unique perspective on the world around him. Justin likes to use the lens of the camera to capture details and intricacies his own eyes cannot quite see. He gets a thrill from composing a shot just right, sometimes adventuring to do so! Capturing the richness of colors blending into one another keeps him coming back for more. To follow his adventures find him at @jd.blind.photography on Instagram.
